Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko fights as a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter in the UFC's flyweight division. She is the younger sister of the former UFC Flyweight champion and the fellow UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as a Muay Thai kickboxer. Her debut was in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner at the event and beat Suzane Milliner in a unanimous vote. Antonina continued to win with a silver-medal in 2007, a bronze award in 2008, a gold medal in 2011, and was the year-end 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia launched her professional career when she was in the year 2003. She has taken home numerous championships, including the K-1 World Championships the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships and WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina last fought against Isa Tidblad Kskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by a unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko won her debut professional MMA fight in 2002 against Anara bayanova at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She took the title with a TKO during the 2nd round. She went on to win her 2 subsequent fights in the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. It gave her the record of 3-0 in MMA. Shevchenko was forced to take a time off from MMA and devoted her time to boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko won against Anissa by a unanimous vote as well as defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. Following the league's dissolution in the year 2018, Shevchenko enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko was matched against Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina knocked out Nievera using her striking skills that were superior during the clinch final round through knees to the body. After this win, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hitters Finale, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took victory in a unanimous decision, but she was defeated in her next fight by Roxanne Modafferi via the split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from her loss and beat Lucie Pudddilova on UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission during the second round. The fight was awarded Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in the next three fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski but lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina is currently being lost to Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
