Keira Knightley
She was raised in London to actor Will Knightley and Sharman Macdonald, Knightley obtained an agent when she was just six years old and worked in commercials and television films. Her role was minor in the role of Sabe in the science fiction film Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999). Her breakout moment came as a tomboy footballer in the film Bend It Like Beckham (2002) The film then went on to gain worldwide fame as Elizabeth Swann in the swashbuckler adventure series Pirates of the Caribbean, which began in 2003. Knightley was considered a promising teenage star after having a role on screen in Love Actually (2003). Knightley got the Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for her role as Elizabeth Bennet in Pride & Prejudice (2005). Knightley was also in many more period-themed films, such as Atonement (2007 and a relationship story), The Duchess, (2008) and Anna Karenina, (2012). Also, she was a socialite titled Georgiana as part of The Duchess. She also appeared in contemporary dramas as an uninitiated music student in Begin Again (2012) and an aspiring doctor for the role of a physician in Jack Ryan Shadow Recruit (2013). Knightley was back in dramatic dramas from the past, as Joan Clarke, in The Imitation Game, which was a huge success and earned her the Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Also, she appeared in Colette, as the titular writer.
